Switzerland
UR-110
Every year in November since 2001, the Foundation of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève has organised the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève award ceremony, designed to reward the most innovative contemporary creations, while promoting the art of watchmaking worldwide. Watchmakers from all over the world thus annually submit their timepieces to the multidisciplinary jury, which has the task of nominating watches to specific categories and awarding some 20 prizes.
URWERK and the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève
Since 1997, URWERK has won numerous awards, including:
- 2011 - URWERK was awarded the "Best Design" prize for the UR-110.
- 2014 – URWERK’s EMC won the "Mechanical Exception" award as well as the "Innovation Prize".
- 2019, URWERK received the "Audacity Prize" with the AMC.
